Well, it's not like the original film couldn't be improved upon.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 21, 2022 11:42 PM |
No.
I bet no one would understand what made it funny and camp it up in a big budget disaster.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 21, 2022 11:42 PM |
yup r2. Want to make a movie spoofing death? Do it. Don't just piggy back on some shit that was done before you sad twat.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 21, 2022 11:43 PM |
Death Becomes Her makes eleven.

R4 It's not official. She just said she would like to make a remake of it. Considering how the original flopped, I don't see anyone in Hollywood bending over backwards to remake this.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 21, 2022 11:49 PM |
The original was so gay, I can't believe str8 men wrote and produced it.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 21, 2022 11:51 PM |
She's really pretty but annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 21, 2022 11:52 PM |
So, she’s saying AnnE looks a bit piqued and near death? Not a very nice thing to say about an other Oscar winner, no matter how old she might be.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 21, 2022 11:54 PM |
Why remake a masterpiece?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 21, 2022 11:58 PM |
This would be a terrible idea.
I absolutely adore this movie. I had no idea it flopped.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 22, 2022 12:01 AM |
Who should play the Isabella Rossellini role?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 22, 2022 12:03 AM |
NOW a warning?
Actually, that makes sense. Thanks for the warning Jessica. Don't do this, mmmkay!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 22, 2022 12:04 AM |
God she is so overrated. I’ve never been impressed with this cold lesbian.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 22, 2022 12:06 AM |
She screams about sexism but is able to get investors after producing a massive bombs like The 355.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 22, 2022 12:09 AM |
For some reason the powers that be have always wanted her to happen so they gave her an undeserved Oscar and still nobody cares about her. She’s boring.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 22, 2022 12:11 AM |
God, she sucks so badly.
Did you hear her attempt at an English accent in that episode of Poirot?
I threw a pickle at the screen in rage! She’s worse than high school drama level.
Get this fugly bitch off the screen!

I thought that JC was different because she was friends with edgy director,Michael Haneke. This move proves she is just as much a dolt as that horse toothed Razzy worthy actress,Julia Roberts.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 22, 2022 12:19 AM |
I'm surprised Glenn didn't try and remake this.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 22, 2022 12:30 AM |
Because Jessica Chastain has been known for her sense of humor?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 22, 2022 1:05 AM |
I don’t remember Death Becomes Her being a comedy?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 22, 2022 1:09 AM |
Could she just not breathe?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 22, 2022 1:11 AM |
R20 Meryl wasn't exactly known for her comedic roles before She-Devil and Death Becomes Her.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 22, 2022 1:19 AM |
What a dumb idea. Almost as dumb as turning it into a Broadway musical.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 26, 2022 1:24 AM |
That shade of lipstick is very pretty on her.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 26, 2022 1:27 AM |
They cast Tracey Ullman to play the Tracey Ullman part.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 26, 2022 1:32 AM |
They need either Olivia or Angelina to make the entire undertaking a massive cunt-off 24/7
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 26, 2022 1:36 AM |
Other than the musical number opening, I thought "Death Becomes Her" was really loud, grating and unfunny. The humor such as it was, was so obvious and cold.
Eh, if they like it so much they should do it.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 26, 2022 1:38 AM |
Don’t remake my movie! Are you listening to me? Do you even care? You stand there with your 45-year-old skin and your tiny tits like rocks and laugh at me…
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 26, 2022 1:42 AM |
I don't know why people are so hard on her on the tiniest things, like not disclosing her real age when she finally broke out in her mid 30s. Unlike all the other celebrities who won't shut up about hard work and adversities, she truly started from the bottom and got to where she is against all odds on her own merit. She obviously isn't one of us anymore but she sure used to be, and I'll always cheer for those who came from humble beginnings and dared to dream.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 26, 2022 1:43 AM |
R11 No one because she was just radiant in her sexiness in the film but with a sly humor about things as well. Maybe they could make her character a handsome gentleman instead?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 26, 2022 1:45 AM |
R33 they’re racist!!!!! Oh never mind thought this post was about me. She a dumb white bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 26, 2022 1:45 AM |
Oh Margot Robie would play the Isabella Rosselini, or Sylvia from Euphoria, or Zendaya. they'd cast her younger.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 26, 2022 1:51 AM |
If Death Becomes Her was ever remade, we all know it would be about trans women of color vs. cis white straight men.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 26, 2022 1:53 AM |
Lesbian Catherine Bell was Isabella's butt double. How do they hope to improve on that ?

Wasn't her husband just murdered with some of his buddies? She's so cold and heartless.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 26, 2022 2:21 AM |
Jessica, who do you see for the lead?
“I see me, I see me. Actress, woman, star and lover. Sister, sweetheart, slave and mother…. I see me... and I like what I see.”
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 26, 2022 5:47 AM |
R39 What?? Trying to work out if that's a movie reference or something but coming up with nothing! Explain please!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 26, 2022 2:16 PM |
Jessica Chastain is pretty vanilla and an outspoken progressive/feminist, but she does take on some edgy roles from time to time. She even developed a project with Matthew Newton - a man who used his privilege to avoid prison for beating up his girlfriends. He even had the incidents erased from his record to get a VISA and work in the US.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 26, 2022 2:26 PM |
Some people just assume that she was unaware of his record, but it's virtually impossible if you understand how the industry works., I can believe Jessica herself is that incompetent, but not every single person around her.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 26, 2022 5:39 PM |
Who knows what sob story gave her? He might have said he was diddled by his dad and that his mother stood by and let it happen.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 26, 2022 5:59 PM |
*sob story Newton gave her
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 26, 2022 5:59 PM |
It would be more interesting if it was a sequel about two other rich, feuding women who learn a thing or two from Mad and Hell. A bit of a cautionary tale perhaps about what can happen if you take the potion without thinking about all the consequences. Are we even at the year where the original film's ending took place yet? It might be funny to see what happened during those years.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 26, 2022 7:08 PM |
Good idea. Jada Pinkett Smith can play one of the leads. Though she'll have too look into the cosmetic procedure industry to gain some knowledge of it.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 26, 2022 7:10 PM |
BUMP for the dummy who didn't search first
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 28, 2022 9:11 PM |
Wow, she's had work done. Nose job, jaw slimming, maybe a brow lift.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 28, 2022 9:22 PM |
I was bored last night and watched The Good Nurse on Netflix. She’s very good in that. In fact, she’s good in everything I’ve seen her in… but I never watch a movie just because she’s in it. Not sure why
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 28, 2022 9:41 PM |
Isabella Rossellini role is essential. KEY. Who could play that? Possibly Lea Seydoux. But they will book Kristen Stewart.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 28, 2022 9:56 PM |
Nobody likes watching a bunch of millennial and Gen Z girls act all stilted and get giggly as they shit-act through classic remakes. They’re just not convincing. The reality of life is most people stare at their phones all day, that doesn’t translate to film. People think on a macro level now and the big answer to “would I want to live forever?” is a resounding “No!”

R50 Jessica asked for the "Sissy Spacek"
