Alexander Makowski Jr., aged 65, of Grandville went to be with the Lord Thursday June 22, 2006. Alex is now reunited with his wife, Helen.
Surviving are his children, Sean Makowski, Keith Makowski, Lisa (David) Schroeter; his granddaughter, Samantha Makowski; his sister, Patricia (James) Griffin; his brother, Robert (Sue) Makowski; numerous relatives, friends and business associates.
Alex and his wife were the proprietors of the West Fulton Dairy Queen for over 44 years. Alex was known as a “giver” and did much for the community. He was a proud Veteran of United States Army.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church where he will repose one hour prior to Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, Remembrance Chapel, 3525 Remembrance Rd, where a Vigil Service will be held Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to Alzheimers Association of Northwest Michigan will be appreciated.
